Here’s a collection of top lists I have. Call them my opinions and nothing else.

Best pastries in Berlin

I’m really into pastries. Some of the best in the cities are:

  • Morning bun from Sofi. It’s a nordic cardamon sugar roll, which is just perfect in taste. It’s often a bit “too wet” for some, but that’s the interesting part.
  • Pain au Chocolat from La Maison. It’s just a very good execution of a French classic and sometimes I just need one.
  • Apfeltasche from Bonanza (it’s not always there, pay attention. Mostly on weekends). This one is weird, I think. It is not the best executed pastry ever and its top will stick to your palate. But it’s super filled with apples and cinnamon. Also, it will fill as it is quite big (and expensive).
  • Almond croissant from Brede. I think it’s the best almond croissant I’ve had. The peculiar part is that some parts are like caramelized and they don’t result as dry as a lot of other ones I bought in other places.
  • Queen A from Albatros. It’s caramel and salt together in a delicious format. Great with coffee.

Best beer

This is divided in two categories: alcohol free and with alcohol.

alcohol free

I tried a lot and most of them are meh or too sweet. Over time things are getting better.

  • Best Weißbier: Schneider weisse alkoholfrei.
  • Best Pils: Rathaus.

With alcohol

Drink responsibly or even better, don’t. There is no quantity of alcohol that has zero impact on you. If you want to drink one from time to time, a list:

  • Best common Lager: Augustiner helles.
  • Best Weißbier: Schneider weisse tap 7 das Original.

Other than that, it’s a sea of craft beers.

Best videogames

Mario 64 is my favorite game of all time. Other notable mentions of games I really enjoy:

  • Wave Race 64. I don’t know how they got such nice waves in 1996.
  • Baldur’s Gate 3. Not my genre, more than 100h play all online with friends. Top.
  • Star Wars rogue squadron 2. I have no idea how many hours I wasted on this on GameCube. I loved it so much.
